Quality Inspector SCALINQ
Ensure the quality behind next-generation computing
Quantum computing is moving from research to reality, and the hardware behind it is becoming the critical factor. At SCALINQ, we build cryogenic systems at the edge of what materials, precision, and physics allow- and we’re looking for a Quality Inspector who wants to ensure that every component meets the standards required to make this technology work in practice. Curious how your work could make this possible? Read on.
The role
As a Quality Inspector at SCALINQ, you play a key role in ensuring the quality of both incoming components and finished products, with a particular focus on incoming inspection. This is a primarily operational role with a strong focus on hands-on work on the production floor, combined with analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement. You will be part of a collaborative team and work closely with production and engineering. You are expected to take end-to-end responsibility for quality inspection and actively contribute to identifying, analyzing, and resolving deviations. The role requires flexibility, with the ability to support production when needed in a small and dynamic organization.
Responsibilities
Perform quality inspections of incoming materials and final products
Carry out a wide range of inspections, from visual checks to measurements using mechanical and electrical instruments
Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Document results in test and inspection reports
Handle deviations and contribute to root cause analysis
Drive improvements in processes and work instructions, including creating new ways of working and documentation
Collaborate with production, development, procurement, and sales
What we offer
At SCALINQ, you will work on technology that enables a fundamental shift in how computing is built. We move fast, expect initiative, and give people real ownership, where their ideas turn into production-ready products and reach global customers within months.
In this role, you will work hands-on with high-precision hardware, advanced materials, and complex systems, using modern measurement tools and methods in close collaboration with production, engineering, and suppliers. You will play a key role in ensuring quality across the full product lifecycle, from incoming components to final products.
This is a trust-based environment with high expectations, continuous technical challenges, and strong opportunities to grow. Here, impact matters more than titles or hierarchy.
Who you are
You have a post-secondary technical education in mechanical engineering, electronics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience from a manufacturing environment. You have experience in quality control, inspection, or assurance, preferably in environments involving technically advanced or high-precision products.
You are comfortable working hands-on with measurement equipment, reading technical drawings, and following structured processes, while also being able to document your work clearly and systematically.
As a person, you are detail-oriented, analytical, and solution-driven. You take ownership of your work and do not let go of problems until they are fully understood and resolved. You don’t just report issues, you take responsibility for driving them forward. You thrive in an operational role close to production but also have the ability to see the bigger picture and contribute to improving processes and ways of working. You collaborate well across functions, build strong working relationships, and communicate clearly, both internally and in documentation that may be shared externally.
About SCALINQ
At SCALINQ, the team is at the core of everything we do. By bringing together expertise in quantum technology, microwave engineering, and hardware design, we develop high-performance hardware solutions that enable the scaling of quantum computers. Rooted in research, our products include advanced RF packaging, high-density interconnects, and cryogenic components designed to meet the real-world constraints of quantum computing.
With strong ties to Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden, we combine global scientific expertise with Gothenburg’s practical, collaborative engineering culture. Innovation at SCALINQ happens through close interaction between research and engineering, with a clear focus on turning complex ideas into robust, deployable hardware.

Experience writing test or inspection reports
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Nice to have
Experience working with high-precision or delicate products
Experience developing or improving work instructions and processes
